COCONUT TOFFEE TEMPTATIONS


1C. FLOUR
1/4 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1/4 TSP. BAKING SODA
1/4 TSP. KOSHER SALT
1 STICK MELTED BUTTER
1/2C. LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
1/3C. REGULAR SUGAR
2 EGGS
2 TSP. VANILLA
5 HEATH BARS (1.4 OUNCES EACH), CHOP THEM UP-NOT TOO SMALL-NICE CHUNKS!
1C. SWEETENED FLAKED COCONUT
1C. CHOCOLATE CHIPS, SEMISWEET (PLUS EXTRA TO SPRINKLE ON TOP DURING BAKE TIME)

LINE 8X8 PAN WITH NONSTICK FOIL, LEAVING AN OVERHANG. IN A MIXER, CREAM BUTTER, SUGARS, EGGS, VANILLA. ADD ALL THE DRY INGREDIENTS TO COMBINE. ADD THE CHOPPED HEATH, COCONUT AND CHIPS.

BAKE AT 350 FOR 20 MINUTES. SPRINKLE ON A HANDFUL OF ADDITIONAL CHIPS ON THE TOP AND RETURN TO BAKE FOR THE FINAL 15-20 MINUTES. MINE COOKED FOR A TOTAL OF 40 MINUTES BUT U MAY WANT TO CHECK YOURS AT THE 35 MINUTE MARK SO AS NOT TO OVER BAKE. EVERY OVEN IS SO DIFFERENT! COOL COMPLETELY. LIFT THE FOIL FROM THE PAN AND CUT INTO BARS.
