CINDY HAS A SCRUMPTIOUS BLOG THAT YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO CHECK OUT! MANY OF HER BROWNIE RECIPES LOOKED DELISH BUT I WANTED SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT. I READ THROUGH MANY POSTS AND THEN I SAW THEM! THE MUDDY BUDDIES!!!! I HAVE NEVER MADE THESE BUT KNEW I HAD EATEN THEM AND LOVED THEM ONCE UPON A TIME. THEY WERE ALSO GLUTEN FREE WHICH WAS PERFECT FOR MY HUBBY!! MY ONLY VARIATION WAS TO ADD SOME MINI M AND M'S AND I SERVED THEM IN CUTE CUPCAKE LINERS I HAD! SO HAPPY I HAD CINDY'S BLOG BUT CINDY I THINK I AM MAD AT YOU...WHY? BECAUSE I CANNNNNOT STOP EATING MUDDY BUDDIES!!!! HEE HEE

9 cups Rice Chex
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Microwave chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter for 1 minute, stir, cook for 30 more seconds or longer until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stir until evenly coated. Pour into large plastic food storage bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on wax paper to cool. Add mini m and m's!

I've never had a 'muddy buddy' but they look addictive, or course the addition of chocolate makes it more addictive.

Glad you got to spend some time at my blog. Muddy Buddy's are a wicked good treat. You better plan on serving them to a crowd or you just might eat about 5 servings. Whatever you do don't look at calorie info on the Chex box. It just might ruin your day.
Thanks again!

What a great recipe and it is right up your alley. I don't think I have ever had this, but it looks similar to something called "Puppy Chow."

Mmmmmm!!! Muddy Buddies! I love those things. We don't get them in Canada, but I live close to the US border and I definitely make trips down there just to pick up a few bags of these. Glad I can make them myself now. :)

We made this when I was growing up so often for Christmas, I haven't had any in so long! I will have to bring back the tradition this year. Great pick!
