MINI SAUSAGE & CHEESE CALZONES
INGREDIENTS:
1 PACKAGE OF PILLSBURY GRANDS BISCUITS
SAUCE OF YOUR CHOICE (CLICK HERE FOR AN EASY HOMEMADE ONE!)
SHREDDED MOZZARELLA CHEESE
SAUSAGE (I USED CHICKEN SAUSAGE)
1/2 ONION, CHOPPED
1 CELERY STALK, CHOPPED
1 CARROT, PEELED AND CHOPPED
OIL FOR LIGHT SAUTEE
INSTRUCTIONS:
HEAT 2 T. OIL IN PAN AND ADD CELERY, ONION AND CARROT. COOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES. ADD SAUSAGE LINKS AND COOK UNTIL BROWN ON ALL SIDES. SLICE LINKS ON A DIAGONAL.
FOR EACH CALZONE, YOU WILL NEED 2 BISCUITS. FLATTEN EACH BISCUIT TO MAKE THEM A BIT LARGER. TOP ONE HALF WITH 1-2T. SAUCE, A FEW SLICES OF SAUSAGE AND SOME CHEESE. TOP WITH THE OTHER BISCUIT AND CRIMP THE SIDES WITH A FORK. LAY ON A SHEET LINED WITH NONSTICK FOIL AND BAKE AT 350 FOR 15-17 MINUTES UNTIL BROWNED!
