HERE ARE THE ABC'S TO MY SMOOTHIE
BERRIES- Loaded with antioxidants
BANANA- high in potassium
CINNAMON- lowers blood pressure
COCONUT OIL- great for skin, hair and nails....medium chain fats so it is GOOD for you!
PEANUT BUTTER- protein and fiber
PROTEIN- rebuilds muscle tissue
SPINACH - high in iron and b vitamins
This smoothie was created for me by my hubby. He is a chiropractor and a wellness genius. Dr. Oz better watch out! You can check out my husband's Facebook page here.
Recipe:
In a blender, combine until smooth:
1 cup water
1/2 scoop Protein Powder (I use Vega)
1/2 banana
3/4 cups frozen wild blueberries (Costco sells them!)
1 Tablespoon Organic Peanut Butter
1 Tablespoon coconut oil
handful baby spinach
(Optional: If I have strawberries, I throw in a few, too! Can add some chia seeds, too!))

BERRY BANANA KALE SMOOTHIE...BECAUSE SMOOTHIES ARE A LICENSE FOR MORE COOKIES! LOL
DRINK THIS AND YOU CAN HAVE MORE COOKIES. WELL, PROBABLY NOT THE FULL TRUTH BUT I KINDA LIKE THE THEORY! FINALLY, A HEALTHY SMOOTHIE THAT TASTES AWESOME!!! YOU CANNOT EVEN TASTE THE KALE-I PROMISE! EVEN MY 3 YEAR OLD LOVES THIS!
1 cup water
1/3 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 scoop protein powder (I like Sun Warrior chocolate)
1 handful of kale
1 Tablespoon hemp seeds
A hefty sprinkle of cinnamon
handful of ice
Place all in a bender and puree until smooth!
Optional add-ins:
1 Tablespoon peanut butter or other nut butter
1 Tablespoon coconut oil
Flax seeds
1 cup water

CHOCOLATE BANANA BERRY SMOOTHIE
INTERESTED IN A HEALTHY SMOOTHIE DISGUISED AS A MILKSHAKE?
MY HUSBAND IS THE SMOOTHIE KING AND TODAY I'M GOING TO SHARE HIS AMAZING RECIPE WITH YOU. OF COURSE, USE THIS AS A STARTING POINT AND SWAP IN OR OUT WHATEVER FRUITS YOU LIKE! CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR WHAT FLAVORS YOU INVENT!
COMBINE ALL IN A BLENDER & ENJOY!!!
1 BANANA
1/2C. FROZEN BLUEBERRIES
3 FRESH STRAWBERRIES
1/2C. DARK CHOCOLATE ALMOND MILK (LOVE SILK BRAND! OF COURSE, YOU CAN USE VANILLA IF YOU PREFER!)
1 HEAPING TABLESPOON OF ALMOND BUTTER
1 SCOOP CHOCOLATE WHEY PROTEIN (OR FLAVOR OF YOUR CHOICE: EASILY FOUND IN WHOLE FOODS OR WILD BY NATURE)
IF YOU DON'T HAVE FROZEN BLUEBERRIES, ADD ICE CUBES TO SMOOTHIE.
IF YOU PREFER A THINNER SMOOTHIE, ADD MORE ALMOND MILK-MEASUREMENT MAY NEED TO VARY EACH TIME YOU MAKE IT BASED ON AMOUNT OF FRUIT USED AND SIZE OF BANANAS.
*Hubby also recommends adding greens & salba (google the benefits) but I like it as written above! LOL
